"A Passion For Food" is the beautiful result of quiet a few months of hard work for Superquinn's 50th birthday. It was a huge team effort, including Orla Brodrick, who not just wrote and tested all the recipes, but kept us on the straight and narrow. Sharon Herne-Smith, that made the food not just look amazing, but tasted so good too. 3 Weeks of fine dinning, we all needed a gym after. David Gibbons from Harmonia who designed all our images and work into a lovely book, making it so simple to use and sumptuous to look at. Alison Hunter, Bruce Langlands and Fiona Sweeney from Superquinn that kept us all on the right path, sometimes using any weapon they found lieing round the studio, and there are plenty, i found out..
It was pleasure for me to work on this project. A book is such a large project that grows as its shot, getting bigger and better. Its style was set out long before shooting commenced, but it did develop and change as we went. The lighting was different from what i used up to this. Window and natural light is very "fashionable" at the moment, so I brought that influence into my work. I Hope you like, and it makes the food even more appealing.
