Hi all, Ive been a bad blogger these days but I intend to improve and give you all nice new things to look at.
I was shooting bread last week for the bakery in Super Valu and here is two of the pictures from the shoot. Soda bread is a little lost in our modern world. It reminds us of days long gone and my Mother baking in the old Stanley range. The smell of fresh soda bread wafting through the kitchen and into the whole house. We would be sitting there by the white formica table waiting on it to cool so Mum could cut me a piece. Lashings of real butter spread on a thick warm slice. We had to eat fast or the butter would melt and run off and onto us. When cold we added Damson or Blackberry& Apple jam, home made of course, in layers nearly as thick as the bread itself, if no one was looking. So last week when the studio filled with the lovely soda/buttermilky smell, I was 7 again (not saying how many years ago that was), Grabbing a knife and a "pound" of Kerrygold. The bread was still warm from the bakery ovens, and it was good. Harry.
